At Vita Bona Legal Services, we are here to help you create a plan that will protect your loved ones after you are gone. That’s really who the estate plan is for: your spouse, your children, your grandchildren. The estate plan protects them in one of the toughest moments of their lives. Having an estate plan in place

However, there are many estate planning attorneys out there. So, what sets us apart?

  1. Individual Service – We don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. Every client has their own needs and goals for their estate plan, and insisting that all need the same plan or using fill-in-the-blank forms is not appropriate client service. We will sit with you, discuss your unique goals, and craft a plan that fits your unique needs, not just fill in the blanks on some impersonal form.
  2. We Come to You – We know that the conversations involved in estate planning are some of the most difficult you will have. They involve thinking about your own death and that of your loved ones. Because these topics are uncomfortable, we know that they are often easier to have in your own living room or at your kitchen table rather than in an antiseptic office or conference room. Therefore, we will come to you to make your plan in the place where you are most comfortable.
  3. Flat Fee – Many attorneys charge you by the hour, and those hours are not cheap. You can pay anywhere from $250 to $500 for an attorney (some litigators make over $3,000 an hour!). And the worst part is that you don’t know how many hours any given matter will take, so you are often surprised by the final fee. That never happens with us. We will always give you the total fee up front before you commit to paying us anything. And it will usually be less than the hourly fee you would pay to another attorney. Because we only charge flat fees, there are no extra charges for answering emails or returning phone calls. We are not here to drive up the billings; we are here to help you build and protect a good life for your family at a reasonable price.
  4. Understanding of Different Communities – As someone who has an autistic child and many LGBTQ+ friends, I am very interested in helping marginalized communities. Whether you are neurodivergent or LGBTQ+ or an immigrant or any other marginalized community, Vita Bona Legal Services will give you the individualized and understanding legal service you need. We understand the unique concerns of each of these communities, so we will help you with more than just a cookie-cutter process that only fits one type of client.
